Magnetic Reed Sensor

VG Electric offers Magnetic Reed Sensor, a omnipolar, magnetically activated two part proximity reed sensor having a simple case design, which allows screw or adhesive mounting. It can be approached by a magnet, which is of same housing from any angle with either pole. This sensor is hermetically sealed for long life, immune to hostile environments, suitable for DC and AC circuits, zero power consumption, and operates through non-ferrous materials such as wood, plastic or aluminium. These magnetically operated contacts continue to operate long after optical and other technologies fail due to contamination. Dimensions of the sensor are 23.00 x 13.88 x 5.99 mm; 28.58 x 19.1 x 6.35 mm; 50.8 x 12.3 x 10.1 mm; and 6.16 x 25.40 mm respectively. Typical applications include position and limit sensing, security system switch, linear actuators, door switch, etc.
