Liquid Temperature Sensing Thermostat

R S Electronics offers a Liquid Temperature Sensing Thermostat, Model ITD. This was designed specifically for monitoring temperature of liquids and for over temperature protection of oil transformers. This thermostat has a brass body machined from solid drawn rod. It has a ¼” BSP Hex nut threading for screwing into any location, like hydraulic lines, tanks, pipe lines, radiators, engines, oil filled transformers, oil baths, etc. This thermostat is also available with a threaded extension at the lead end for conduit connection. Special features: solid brass body for strength; available with normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts, 230 V/24 V, 8 A; better heat sensing capability; ¼” BSP threading for easy mounting; solid silver contacts for long life of 1,00,000 operations; snap action bimetal thermostat; Teflon insulated lead wires; and available in any temperature from 50°C to 160°C. Applications: monitoring temperature of liquids; over temperature protection of oil filled transformers; car radiators and engines; hydraulic lines and tanks; and pipelines for fluids and hot gases.
