K-Beam Triaxial Sensor

Where measurements are made on buildings, bridges, vehicles and cranes, movements in all three directions are often of great significance. The new K-BEAM, whose centre piece consists of three capacitive acceleration sensors, is particularly suitable for measurements of this type. The sensor elements are protected against environmental influences by a tough hardanodized aluminium case. Connections for the supply and signal are made by a rugged 9-pole connector. The supply is 9 V battery or a 9 - 20 V DC power source. The signals are available simultaneously with DC and AC coupling and can be directly evaluated without further conditioning. The K-BEAM also has very good temperature stability even with a high resolution of 0.3 mg. The zero measure and output of the measuring signals is around + 2.5 V. With a full range signal of ?1 V, the output voltage (with DCcoupling) thus always remains positive. The sensor is available for the three measuring ranges of ?2, ?10 and ?20 g. With its characteristics, this K-BEAM is highly suitable for comfort studies, seismic measurements, motion control on robots and tilt measurements.
