Infrared Gas Detector, Compact & Reliable

Nimbus is a compact and lightweight yet rugged and reliable infrared gas detector, certified flameproof and suitable for use in Class 1, Div 1, Group B, C and D areas. It is dust and water ingress protected to IP67. Compatible with Windows CE and MTL 611B software, Nimbus can be calibrated by one man in hazardous areas without a "hot work permit" and without opening the detector. Characteristics: Rugged and reliable - the optics operates up to 90% obscuration, while still detecting gas at 75% obscuration a dirty optics warning flashes to indicate the necessity for cleaning it; Simple maintenance - a local external status light which shows at a glance, if the unit is normal function or fault; in hazard condition both rising gas and alarm levels are indicated; a status clearly indicates 22 further conditions for instant diagnosis; Flexible installation - both 4-20 mA and RS485 outputs, compatible with steel wire armoured cable and conduit. The Modbus serial link allows addressable detectors to be looped providing a remote control and interrogation facility.
