In-cylinder sensors

Penny & Giles Controls Ltd, UK, has launched a completely new range of in-cylinder sensors, ICS 100, for use in lower cost hydraulics and pneumatic cylinders that require a unique form of analogue feed back. The sensors are available in 5 or 10 mm increments to suit actuator strokes up to 1100 mm. The units are suitable for use with mineral based fluids, can operate at temperatures from 30?C to 100?C and working pressure up to 350 bar. The sensors are supplied with a 3-core cable with PTFE insulated conductors and a polyurethane (PUR) jacket selected for its high mechanical strength and chemical resistance, with 1 m and 10 m length options. ICS is designed specifically for actuators where the sensor is fitted inside the pressurised environment. A choice of internal or external flange styles is available. The ICS range offers an excellent price/performance package at a significantly lower price than the earlier HLP - 100 model. ICS is an affordable actuator for applications where non-contacting technologies may prove too expensive to use. It is available within 7 working days of purchase order.
