High Temperature Sensors

Shiwkon, founded in 1994, has established itself as the leading manufacturer and supplier of high-tech instrumentation in the field of temperature measurement, system automation and various process control instruments. Thermocouples type `R’ (Pt Rh 13%-Pt) and type `S’ (Pt Rh 10%-Pt) are used to measure temperature up to 1400?C/1600?C maximum; type `B’ (Pt Rh 6%-Pt Rh 30% or Pt 18) is for temperatures up to 1800?C max; and type `C’ (tungsten 5% rhenium/tungsten 26% rhenium) for temperatures up to 2300?C max. The thermo-element pair is protected by two or three ceramic/silicon carbide sheaths of various types, depending upon working temperature and environmental conditions. Type KER 610 – alumina tube with 60%, 80%, 95% Al2O3; type KER 710 – recrystallised – high alumina tube with 99.5%, 99.9% Al2O3 available in 24, 20, 15, 12, 10, 8 and 6 mm dia. Holding tubes made of SS 304/SS 316 of 32, 25 and 20 mm dia are used to hold ceramic sheath with head. Steatite ceramic terminal blocks with nickel plated terminals; and die cast aluminium/SS mounting head and adjustable flange. These sensors are widely used in glass, ceramic, steel, power plants and petrochemical industries.
