Century Metering Systems & Controls Pvt Ltd Fan Failure and Temperature Detection Unit (FFTDU), Model CMSC-7773, for automation control panel users. This fan failure and temperature detection unit is a comprehensive unit, which monitors temperature at a single point and the status of the impedance protected cooling fans of around 20 W. Fan failure and temperature detection unit has 4 fan relays, an over temperature relay, a fan fault relay, a buzzer and an optional 4-20 mA output. If the measured temperature exceeds the programmed set value, the over temperature relay and buzzer go On. The statuses of the four fans are monitored to determine if they are running normally/open circuited/stalled. In case one or more fan fault conditions are detected, the fault relay goes On along with an indication on the front panel. One of the unique features of CMSC-7773 is that the user can program the unit to switch Off a fan when it gets stalled and recheck the status after a programmable interval, thereby reducing the power consumption and staving off the heat dissipation by stalled fan.
