Colour Sensors For Product Control Based On Tricolour Process

Stracon Messsysteme GmbH has exploited the potential of quick colour recognition of objects in the area of automation to solve checking and sorting tasks. A modular palette of colour sensors has been developed working on the tricolour range process. The object to be measured is Iighted by a polychromatic light and the reflected light is captured by optics and represented in RGB receiver sensitive to three colour ranges. The signal spectrally evaluated in the receiver is amplified and transmitted to a digital unit with integrated ADconverter. The coupling of signals and comparison with a reference signal is undertaken by a microprocessor.
