The Bearing Temperature Sensors assure accurate temperature measurement of motor/generator bearings. The probe style RTDs and thermocouples continuously sense the thermal condition of bearing assemblies. Friction in bearing assemblies creates energy in the form of heat and the bearing temperatures rise accordingly. When bearings operate at higher than normal or specified temperatures, service life may suffer due to deterioration of the lubricant oil film thickness and quality so it is critical to monitor motor bearings. Technical specifications: temperature range – 50 to 155°C; type – PT 100 (100 ohm at 0°C); outer sheath – standard 316 stainless steel sheath; lead wires – single/dual elements 2 or 3 wire configuration; insulation resistance – 100 megohms at 500 V DC leads to cable; calibration standard –IEC 60751 Or DIN 43760; and accuracy – Class A/B/2B.
