AC Current Transducer

Mumbai-based Meco Instruments Private Ltd manufactures AC current transducer CMT that takes AC current from AC circuit instrumentation and various other power installations, and provides a proportional DC source output. These accurate and reliable outputs are suitable for telemetering, data loggers as well as central monitoring systems. This instrument is small in size and light in weight. It provides excellent linearity and involves completely isolated input and output. It produces low ripple in output signal. The output ripple is 0.2 percent rms and the response is less than 0.2 sec. Accuracy of the device is +/- 0.5 percent of FS and the frequency is 50/60 Hz. Consumption of current is less than 0.5 VA. The zero adjustment and span adjustment of the transducer are +/- 2 percent (min) and +/- 10 percent (min), respectively. The overload is of continuous type and is 2 x rated current. Insulation resistance of the unit for 500 V DC is more than 100 M Ohms. Dielectric strength across input-output, input-auxiliary, input-earth is 2,000 V AC for 1 minute. Operating temperature range of this instrument is 0 to 50 deg C with temperature coefficient 0.03 percent per deg C. Operating humidity range of the transducer is less than 90 percent RH and the breakdown impulse wave voltage without dewing is 1 x 40 uS, 4,500 V.
