Welding Controllers

The Welding Controller, 3W-OL/15 is a microprocessor-based controller for spot projection welding. It is a compact, user-friendly micro-controller based circuitry with built-in power thyristors for up to 415V / 90A AC machine. Three consecutive programmable weld timings (preheat, weld and anneal) with intermediate cool timings in one weld schedule to achieve high quality splash free welding. Other features include non-volatile memory to store up to 15 weld schedules; easy to program with the help of up/down and enter keys; values entered are indicated by two digit LED display; individual operations within a weld schedules indicated by LED; selector is provided for program, schedule select and run mode; timings set in terms of "half cycles" of mains supply frequency to get better resolution; precise time and energy control ensures consistent weld quality; built-in compensation against fluctuations in the mains supply voltage; single weld and repeat cycle mode selectable by toggle switch; weld/no weld switch on front panel; relay contact output provided to actuate the pneumatics of the welding equipment; adjustment of various parameters possible as per table on the reverse; adjustable parameters in a welding schedule; squeeze time - 0-99 half cycles; preheat time - 0-99 half cycles; energy level (W1) - 0-99 % programmable; cool (I) time - 0-99 half cycles; slope for W2 - 0-9 half cycles; weld time (W2) - 0-99 half cycles; weld energy of W2 - 0-99 % programmable; cool (II) time anneal time energy level of W3 - 0-99% programmable; hold time - 0-99 half cycles; and off time in repeat mode - 0-99 half cycles.
