Kuka Robotics offers Robotics Controllers, KR C2. Specifications: up to 2 external axes in the basic cabinet; up to 6 external axes are possible with a top-mounted cabinet; optional energy recovery unit; interfaces for all common field bus systems: Interbus (copper/fibre optics), Profibus, CAN bus, DeviceNet; numerous options for integration of customer-specific equipment - mounting plate in the basic cabinet, top-mounted cabinet for application-specific technology; PC interfaces and floppy disk drive externally accessible (optional), e.g. for mouse, printer, keyboard, network. KR C2 dimensions: width - 810 mm; height - 1250 mm; depth - 540 mm. Advantages: standardisation; reliability; ease of maintenance; safety; diagnosis. KR C2 drive concept - the tried-and-tested system concept has been expanded to include revolutionary drive technology with digital vector control. KR C2 with PC technology and ESC (Electronic Safety Circuit): powerful industrial-version PC - exchangeable without the need for tools; compact design; electronic safety system (ESC) - bus-based communication instead of parallel wiring. ESC diagnostic facilities - easy-to-use diagnostic facilities available in the immediate vicinity of the robot. Cause of switch-off can be determined immediately. Example of rapid exchangeability: computer unit, hard drive easy to exchange, all connections can be made externally, quickly accessible. Wide range of options: ability to adapt to individual requirements ensures a high degree of flexibility.
