If the measured PF is more lagging than the set PF, the equipment automatically selects the best combination of banks for required KVAR from the available bank values and switch On the capacitor banks till the set PF or unity has reached. This can be used in LT systems. Power f\Factor can be monitored and controlled. Alarm signals are given for PT failure, CT failure, Phase Sequence error, CT reverse error and inadequate banks.
