Pneumatic cylinders suffer from a limitation that these can be stopped at only extreme position of either at the front end or rear end. Many applications such as in thermal power plants, steel plants, cement plants, textile units and other chemical and petrochemical process industries call for stopping of pneumatic cylinders at select intermediate positions for controlling of the degree of opening of dampers on knife gate valves or butterfly valves or other valves and in turn controlling process parameters. The company now offers an electro pneumatic positioner, which can be used in conjunction with a pneumatic cylinder to achieve intermediate positions of the pneumatic cylinder. Electrical controls used in this positioner ensure accuracy and repeatability in positioning the cylinder at any select position. This electro pneumatic positioner does not require additional IP converter and thus saves on extra cost. A sleek guide mechanism is used for position feedback and avoids clumsy linkages. These are available in cylinder bore sizes ranging from 50 to 350 mm and up to 1000 mm stroke length.
