Hydraulic Puncher, Double Acting

Shimmit Machine Tools and Equipment offers Selfer Ace, a portable hydraulic puncher manufactured by Nitto Kohki Co, Japan. This is used for punching holes (elliptical or circular) in metals. The tool takes its power from an external hydraulic power pack (Nitto SC-05, maximum pressure 750 kg/cm² or equivalent), which presses the punch on the job. The punch exerts a pressure as high as up to 40 tons on the job and thus punches the hole with the help of a precisely machined die. Taper dies are available for the 'I' channels with taper. The hole making is done in combination of shear and fracture, more of shear than fracture, giving accurate dimensions and clean undistorted finish. This tool is fully automatic, it switches on the pump (which is otherwise off) on pressing the start switch, holds the job in position, punches the hole, comes back to start position and switches off the pump also, on completion of the process. The whole cycle takes only 15 seconds. Apart from being fast, it is also very economical in operation, as it requires less than 750 watts of power. Four different models offer different capacities of hole dia (24 mm max), plate thickness (16 mm max) and throat depth (110 mm max). For smaller capacity requirements up to 6 mm thick plates and holes sizes up to 13 mm dia, an electrically operated Handy model is available.
