Hydraulic Cylinders, ATEX Certified

Atos S.p.a offers ATEX certified Hydraulic Cylinders for potentially explosive atmospheres. These hydraulic cylinders increase the safety of working environments by preventing and providing protection against explosions, according to ATEX directive 94/9/EC. CKA cylinders are equipped with special solutions to avoid the overheating of the cylinders surface and the generation of electrostatic discharge, which may turn into possible ignition sources for the hazardous surrounding atmosphere. They are strictly derived from Atos standard cylinders, ISO 6020/2 execution, thus ensuring high reliability and offering a wide range of dimensions, mounting styles and configurations. The protection mode Ex II 2 GD ck IIC T6 (T85°C) allows CKA cylinders to be installed inside zones 1, 2 for gases and 21, 22 for dusts, classified in compliance with ATEX directive 1999/92/EC. CKA cylinders are also available in servo cylinder execution with ex-proof rod position transducer (see picture), protection mode II 1/2G Ex d IIB+H2 T6 X for gases and Ex td IP67 T85°C for dusts, or with ex-proof proximity sensors, protection mode Ex II 3G Ex nA II T4 X. ATEX cylinders are the ideal solution to maximize the safety requirements of off-shore platforms, foundry, chemical plant, woodworking machines, plastic processing machines and, in general, the process industry with potential presence of explosive atmospheres.
