Gas Compressors For Explosive Gases

Acmevac Sales had designed and developed Gas Compressors for vacuum conveying of Explosive Gases such as hydrogen and hydrocarbons. These compressors incorporate a turbine blower/exhauster housed in a leak-proof enclosure. The blower consists of an impeller mounted directly on a motor shaft, which rotates in a stator-cum-compression chamber having very fine clearances between them. The impeller is rotated at a high speed. Both the suction and discharge openings are located at the outer periphery of the stator to reduce impedance to airflow thereby developing vacuum and pressure. Since the impeller rotates with no contact between itself and casing there is no friction and no lubrication is required. The gas delivered is completely oil- free with no contamination. These compressors are available in capacities of 40 m3/hour to 500 m3/hour, pressures up to 550 mbar and vacuum up to 500 mbar. All explosion-proof electricals conform to IS specifications and are certified by CMRI, Dhanbad for Gas Groups I and II C.
