Dewas-based Bakul Castings offers stainless steel cut-wire for applications like surface hardening (shot peening), etc. Available in various grain shapes and sizes, the stainless steel cut-wires are used to give aesthetic finish to die-castings. According to the company, because of the slow wear of stainless steel, shot die casting finishes are consistent. While stainless steel shot consumption is one sixth of steel shot, the carbon of steel shot gives a dull grey hue to die-castings whereas stainless steel shots impart matt silver finishes. The wire-cuts are available in 2 5kg plastic bags, 500-100 kg bags and 200-litre barrels.
