HGS (India) Limited (HGSI) is part of the Sowar Group, established in 1986 in technical collaboration with Sensor Nederlands bv to manufacture geophone strings, seismic cables and connectors. Over the years, the company has, through indigenisation and total quality management, been able to provide quality products at affordable prices to a majority of seismic contractors and oil companies all over the world.
Wide range of customer specified resistivity cables; preferred for groundwater and mineral exploration; six copper and one steel wire for conductors; uses patented stainless steel 20 mm waterproof takeouts; DC resistance < 290 ohms/km @ 20°C; maximum OD – 8.0 mm; break strength > 90 kgf; cable made as per customised requirements; enough flexibility and strength for use in mobile field operations and frequent handling, transportation in form of coil, etc; excellent performance in rugged field conditions; and operating temperature range – -20°C to +70°C.
