Mineral insulated wiring cable

British Electricals offers mineral insulated wiring cable in light duty 500 V and heavy duty 750 V in different conductor sizes and cores from 1 sq.mm to 400 sq.mm from single core to 19 core. The outer sheath consists of weldless copper tube and 99.9% electrolytic copper conductor with melting point of 1083?C, magnesium oxide insulation with melting point of 2800?C. This cable consists of absolutely inert materials with mineral base having much higher than temperature of fire and high durability due to electrical and mechanical properties of the material used. It remains perfectly stable in the course of time. The cable is also available with LSF self extinguising sheath (IEC 332) specially designed for area where chemical agent may damage the copper sheath. Main feature of cable is fire and heat resistant, explosion proof, radiation resistance, water proof, and low operating temperatures. All cables are tested under inspection standard, HD 586.1 S1/94, CEI 20 39/1 95, IEC 702 1981, BS 6207, AS 3187 and are subjected to I/R test ( 1000 M( /KM and dielectric strength 2500 V AC for heavy duty and 2000 V AC for light duty cable. This cable is ideal for uses in refineries, nuclear plants, airports, hotels, high rise buildings, off shore platforms, petro chemical industries, textile industries, on board ships, etc.
