Instrumentation cables are available in different sheath materials like Teflon (PTFE), silicon rubber, fibreglass, TRS, PVC, elestomer, natural rubber etc. Cables are available from single core to 100 cores, shielded, armoured/un armoured and in different conductor sizes. Thermocouple compensating and RTD extension cables are also available in all above sheath materials and in different conductor sizes. Cables for extremely high temperature come with insulation of specially bonded combination of mica, organic polymers and fibreglass. These react to flame by creating a thermal barrier that protects the conductor and maintains dielectric characteristics.
