COMPENSATING/EXTENSION CABLES

Compensating cables have conductors with similar thermal electric properties as the thermocouple alloys, however, only over a very limited temperature range. They are cheaper then extension cables and can be used only in lower temperature ranges. Extension cables have conductors of the same material as that of the thermocouple but of lower accuracy for they are used. Construction: single/multi strand, single pair, multi pair, screen/armour (copper/SS/GI), etc. Type: J, K, E, T, R, S, B and RTD (PT-100). Insulation: mineral insulated, silicon rubber, PTFE, fibreglass, PVC, asbestos, ceramic glass with inconel insert for high temperature cables up to 1050°C, special and custom made cables, etc.
