Coaxial Cable Assemblies, Versaflex

Meggitt Sensing Systems, a Meggitt group division, has announced the global market introduction of its Endevco® low-noise (noise treated) VersaFlex miniature coaxial cable assemblies, designed to mate with Endevco and other industry piezoelectric accelerometers for increased cable routing flexibility, durability, and extended service life within a variety of test and measurement applications. VersaFlex cable assemblies provide extremely secure connections via coupling nuts that are less susceptible to galling and twisting, for increased cable routing versatility. The use of gas fused centre pin connectors further provides reliability with reduced susceptibility to pin pullout, for durability, non-intermittency, and high-temperature operation. Available series models include: Model 3027AVM13, designed to mate with triaxial ISOTRON (voltage mode) piezoelectric accelerometers. One end of the cable assembly features a 4-pin plug, while the other terminates in a 4-pin receptacle. Also, Model 3090DV, a low-noise (noise treated), VersaFlex Teflon jacketed, coaxial cable assembly, incorporating the use of corrosion-resistant stainless steel hermetic connectors. The cable assembly features a new, improved backshell strain relief design; a stranded centre conductor, for increased ruggedness and long useful service life; and a coupling nut with hex made from an anti-galling bronze material. It is designed specifically for use with high-impedance output piezoelectric accelerometers within severe environments. The Model 3053V, a low-noise (noise treated) VersaFlex Teflon jacketed, coaxial cable assembly. It features the same new, improved backshell strain relief design and stranded centre conductor as the model 3090DV, though is designed specifically for high-impedance piezoelectric accelerometers utilizing a M3 threaded connector. An available variation, Model 3053VM1, offers the same attributes as the model 3053V, though is designed with a BNC connector on the instrumentation end.
