Cabling System

Harting’s Ha-VIS preLink® Cabling System consists of a simple field pre-wired IDC cable terminal block which accommodates up to eight wires and is connected in a single operation using the preLink assembly tool. Feedback from the assembly tool assures the installer that assembly has been properly performed, ensuring a highly reliable termination process. The wired terminal block can then be loaded or unloaded in the rear receptacle of the female or male preLink Ethernet modules and preLink Extenders, such that pre-assembled cable segments can be swapped quickly during maintenance and upgrades, providing total user installation flexibility. RJ45 female socket designs are based on either the industry recognized “Keystone” style or Harting’s own industry form factor “HIFF” version, which can then be accommodated in a range of Harting’s well-known connector housings. The preLink Extenders allow additional extensions to cabling systems and can facilitate the interlinking of fixed installation solid conductor cabling conditions to flexible, lower installed cost stranded conductor cables. All Harting preLink Ethernet modules support performance to 10GBit Cat6A, thus enabling existing Cat 5 or Cat 6E installation upgrades by only replacing the cable and re-using the preLink modules.
