Cable Solutions For Industrial Ethernet Applications

The FieldLink product range provides cables solutions for every type of current bus systems (industrial Ethernet, ProfiBus, Foundation FieldBus, InterBus, DeviceNet, CAN, CC Link, EIB and AS-interface). Specially designed for the requirements of industrial Ethernet applications, the fully bite resistant FieidLink offers cables that guarantee good transmission properties in harsh industrial environments. In addition to Profinet types A, B and C, Leoni Special Cables offers a ProfiNet cable with rodent protection. Fitted with a cable armour made of steel tape lapping, the cable can withstand attacks by rodents. The innovative cable offers the following advantages: steel tape for rodent protection. The metal provides EMC performance. After removing the steel tape a quick field assembly with current industrial connectors (RJ 45) is possible. Features include: cable for direct burial; crush resistant; and sunlight resistant for outdoor use. In addition to these characteristics, this cable also convinces thanks to its electrical characteristics which complies with the standard (EN 50288-21 for Cat 5e. Brief specifications: insulation resistance – ³500 MOhm/km; characteristic impedance (1-100 MHz) – (100 ±15) Ohm; surface transfer impedance (10 MHz) – £10 mOhm/m; and test voltage – 2000 V; and temperature range – -40°C up to 70°C.
