Sanghvi Aerospace Pvt Ltd (SAPL) was established to meet the demand for hi-tech electrical wires and cables requirements of Indian aviation and space industry. Since then, the company has developed a wide variety of products and obtained necessary approvals for on-board use of satellites, launch vehicles, aircrafts, helicopters, etc. This was achieved with considerable international training/exposure from world leaders in the field. These products are used in prestigious projects like: satellites – IRS, INSAT, GSAT, METSAT, etc; launch vehicles – ASLV, PSLV, GSLV, etc; aircraft – Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Dornier, Saras, MiG series and Jaguar aircraft (for upgradation and maintenance); Intermediate Jet Trainer (HJT-36); and helicopters – Advance Light Helicopter (ALH), Cheetah and Chetak helicopters. Product range: these wires and cables are made from: conductors – solid or multi-strand silver/nickel/tin plated copper/copper alloy/copper covered steel wire; insulation – PTFE, polyamide, composite of PTFE and polyamide, siliceous fibre, fibre glass, etc; shield – braid of silver/nickel/tin plated copper wire; and jacket – PTFE, polyamide, PTFE + polyamide, fibre glass, etc. The SPC/NPC/TPC conductors and PTFE tapes are manufactured in-house by a group company to ensure complete quality control over the final product.
