Variable Voltage Transformers with Heat Sink Technology

Green Dot Electric Limited, an ISO 9001 unit, manufactures Variable Transformers that have built in heat sinks below the winding and on the carbon brush arms. This technology helps to dissipate the hot spots that are likely to get developed from the carbon brushes on the windings that always span and short more than 2 turns. This also goes to increase the overload bearing capacity and makes the windings and carbons work cooler and greatly improves the life and reliability of the units. Further the units also have built-in self adjusting and self aligning carbon brush system that moves on perfectly optically ground surface of the copper winding. The units are available in open form for back of panel mounting, enclosed type for table use or floor mounting, oil cooled in tanks in capacities from 2 A to 1200 A. Models for OEM use are further simplified versions matched to suit the economies of usages and applications. The units are being regularly exported for last 15 years the world over.
