Transformer With Built In HT AVR

Miraj Instrumentation Services (I) Pvt Ltd manufactures Transformers with built-in Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), a unique product. The incoming supply from the 'grid' sometimes fluctuates widely and after the installation of standard distribution transformer the customer faces low/high voltage problem on the LT side affecting the rated voltage of the machines and thereby damages motors and other sophisticated equipment. The standard off-circuit tappings of the transformers can correct limited voltage variations and cannot regulate the voltage while in 'on load' condition. Miraj has developed transformers with built-in HT automatic voltage regulators that operate on load steplessly, and can also be installed either indoors or outdoors. The equipment are basically combination of standard distribution transformer and HT automatic voltage regulator. The incoming fluctuating HT supply is initially stabilised then fed to the transformer and thereby the LT output is maintained within ±1% accuracy. The design is robust and needs no regular maintenance. Advantages of built-in automatic voltage regulator: reduced installation cost; space saving; better efficiency; reduction in electricity bill; and protection of motors, etc.
