Toroidal Current Transformer

Current transformers are subdivided into two main categories: a) Measuring Current Transformers – these transformers are used in measuring and indicating current, that is to reduce the line current to a value which is suitable for standard measuring instruments, relays, etc. The manufacturing range: Tape insulated ring type 50-3000 A/5 or 1 A = 2.5 – 15 VA, Class = 0.2 – 5. b) Protective Current Transformers – these transformers are used for over current and undercurrent relaying for power circuit protection. The manufacturing range: Epoxy resin potting type, 30-600 A/0.1 or 0.2 A = 0.25 – 1 VA, Class = 1 – 10. The company also manufactures non standard current transformers to meet customers’ specifications. The manufacturing facility is equipped with the following machinery: toroidal core winding machines; spot welding transformers; electric heating furnace for annealing of CRGO cores; toroidal winding machines; testing bench, etc. The company manufactures toroidal power transformer in the range 15 VA-8 kVA and toroidal low tension current transformers of any rating in tape wound as well as resin cast.
