Orissa Engineering Udyog, Cuttack, has been manufacturing Transformers up to 36 kV class in a wide range of power and distribution types. All the transformers are manufactured in accordance with latest IEC 76, IS: 2026 and IS: 1180 standards, whereas on specific demand other international standards are also followed.
- Core – the core is carefully pressed to give adequate mechanical rigidity to minimize hum when energised
- Windings – have the capability to withstand the stresses under short circuit conditions
- Insulation – synthetic resins bonded paper components are used in it for best insulating function
- Tanks – all joints are bolted incorporating gaskets of synthetic rubber cord which does not deteriorate on continuous
- Conservator – it is provided with a removable end plate to facilitate cleaning of the conservator
- Bushing – the ends of the windings are brought out through the porcelain bushing fitted on both sides of the tank
- The bushing confirms to the latest international standard specifications
- Oil – the transformers are despatched ready for service filled with dry purified oil as per IS: 335-1993
