Willsan India manufactures a wide range of Power and Distribution Transformers. These range from 5 kVA to 10000 kVA with all voltage class and up to 33 kV, indoor/outdoor type, pole/platform mounted, single- and 3-phase versions, 50 Hz, oil immersed, ONAN cooled, step up/step down, double wound with Aluminium/Copper conductors, continuous duty transformers with ‘A’ Class insulation, designed to withstand short circuit and impulse test in accordance to IEC/BS/ANSI/IS.
Options and accessories: bushings – HV porcelain bushing, LV porcelain bushing, oil conservator with oil level indicator, filling and drain valves, oil sampling device, earthing terminals, lifting lugs, jacking pads (radiator tanks), rating plate, silica-gel breather, Buchholz relay, top oil thermometer and pressure release device. Additional accessories can be fitted in accordance with the customer specifications. The transformers are individually tested according to IEC, IS, etc., standards. Witness type/special tests can be carried out on request.
- Cores assembled from high permeability, prime grade CRGO steel and insulated on both sides
- Windings made of electrolytic grade copper or aluminium having 99.99% purity
- The transformers are normally equipped with a 5-position off-load tap-changer on the high voltage side
- The on-load tap-changer is mounted on the cover of the main transformer tank
- Tanks are fabricated out of good quality mild steel plates and special attention is paid to avoid unnecessary welds to reduce chances of future leakage
- The mineral oil used in the transformers complies with IEC 296, IS 335 and several national standards
