Current Transformers

Current Control offers Current Transformers. These are current transformers as per IS2705, generally used in control panels, in ratios from 30 A/5 A to 5,000 A/5 A or 1 A; current transformers for electronic control units where secondary currents are from 0.1 A to 0.00 5A, required to be compact in size and preferably PCB mountable, 30 A/30 mA, 25 A/5 mA, 50 A/5 mA, 100 A/30 mA, etc.; protection class CTs for relays and electrical panels with inside dimension as required by customer; epoxy resign cast CTs for protection and metering as per customer requirements; 3-phase single unit with round or rectangular hole for cable/busbar; very high accuracy level CTs for metering applications; rectangular current transformers as per requirement; core balance current transformers CBCT with dimensions to suit customer requirements, normal rating 25 A/5 mA; summation CTs to measure current of more than one feeder; and special purpose, non standard ratios can be developed. Data required for giving proper type of CT to meet customer specifications and requirements: primary current, rated and max surge with duration of overload; secondary current at rated primary current; voltage across secondary load with tolerance or VA rating; centre hole diameter or rectangular size; mounting required, inbox, PCB mountable, open for pipe/wire mounting; termination by wire, screw or PCB; if resin cast required; dimensional restrictions if any; and special colour, mounting if any. Some of the applications: control panel for metering and protection; electronic control systems; UPS/inverter; generator panels; power factor control panels; capacitor control panels; welding machines; single phasing preventor; motor protection devices; air conditioning controls; digital panel meters; drives; system protection panels; heater "on" indicator and heater control system; PLC controllers; water pump/borewell pump controllers; and microprocessor based controls.
