Auto Transformers

Indu Power-Tech, an ISO 9001-2000 certified company, offers Indostat range of highly reliable, continuously variable voltage Auto Transformers (Variacs), manufactured with state-of-the-art technology. These produce steplessly variable voltage from available supply voltage. Some well known characteristics of these auto transformers are: extremely low magnetising current due to use of selected materials in toroidal form; smooth, specially ground silver plated brush track and specially made carbon brushes from material having the most desired features and limit regulations to achieve high efficiency; easy to maintain and handle, make little noise; and produces distortion free replica of input wave form. These transformers are available in three different models: Flush type for back of panel mounting (for air-cooled ratings only); Enclosed for table/floor mounting (for air-cooled ratings only); and Oil cooled. Indostat continuously variable voltage auto transformers of all ratings are available in oil-cooled construction suitable for highly corrosive or hazardous atmosphere and arduous duties involving high surge currents or short time overload capability requirement. These are used to obtain variable AC voltage from a fixed AC voltage and to obtain stabilised output from a varying input supply. They are also used in testing of electrical equipment where a gradually varying current is a must to ensure non-destructive testing and to eliminate the possibility of high surges; and for exact control of furnace and heater temperature. These are available in various models and types from 4 A to 1000 A, and air-cooled type up to 100 A.
