PTC Thermistor Relay

General Industrial Controls Pvt Ltd has launches PTC Thermistor Relay combined with single phasing preventer. Applications and features: in view of single phasing, heavy-duty load, high switching frequency and possibility of high ambient temperatures that is common in applications such as elevators, cranes, hoists, etc – single phasing prevention functionality is essentially required to be coupled with temperature sensing PTC thermistor relay feature; as the temperature of the motor increases due to heating, the thermistor resistance increases; and when the thermistor resistance exceeds 3.6 k? ±5%, the relay trips and connects only when the thermistor resistance drops below 1.65 k?, thus protecting the motor, increasing reliability and avoiding any downtime. The new GIC range of SPPR PTC thermistor relays addresses this application completely. It is an ideal solution for the protection of motors & alternators fitted with PTC thermistors against over-heating and phase faults like phase sequence, symmetrical phase loss and phase asymmetry. Other features include: independent trip for thermistor fault and phase fault; and LED indications for healthy, unhealthy, sensor open/short conditions, and also phase fault conditions.
