Pressure Difference Switches

Orion pressure difference switches are now available in various ranges from 0.1 to 25 bar. Two opposing pressures are used in these switches to switch an electrical circuit at a preset pressure difference. These switches find application mainly across filters in pressure lubricated systems, or to indicate flow/no flow by sensing pressure difference across an orifice. A choked filter or a pressure difference across the orifice activates the switch and the resulting signal can be used to sound an alarm or light a lamp on control panels. The signal can also be used to switch off pumps or energize/de-energize other electrical circuits depending on the application. These switches can be used on a variety of working media like refrigerant gases, oil, air, water and steam, by selecting appropriate wetted parts. The pressure ports for both the high and low sides are 1/4" BSP female. The electrical rating of the switch is 5 A, 250 V AC/0.2 A, 250 V DC. Orion pressure switches are also available in several other ranges from 15 mm wg to 400 bar.
