Miniature Proximity Switches

PG Electronics has added new Miniature Proximity Switches to its range. The existing range covered the popular tubular sizes from M 8 to M 80 to work with sensing distances of 1.2 mm to 40 mm. The new miniatures now offer switches as small as 5 mm diameter. It guarantees a nominal switching distance of 0.8 mm in a strong stainless steel housing yet with status indicating lamp on the rear, and offers higher switching frequencies, access to difficult-to-reach-locations and easy to secure dual nut system. The packet-type-stackable K12 is available with terminal screws in ‘2 wire’ AC/DC – 95 to 250 V to standard ‘3-wire’ 6-30 V version. Housed in synthetic flat housing with projecting tubular sensor extension works with sensing distance of 2.5 mm. A number of them can be stocked together with common see through fixing holes to give a multi way switch. The terminal connections and fixing arrangement make them versatile for fixing and replacement enabling easy maintenance. The button switch B 16 in the smallest button like construction with mounting bracket (supplied free) facilitates ‘embedded’ mounting with sensing surface exposed to the target movement. The side embedding can even be inside ferrous material with the plastic part of the switch entering it. With the existing synthetic version K 14 the new ‘Block’ version BSW is a new addition to the range. The three wire, standard and 6-30 V supply - it caters for plastic industry due to its versatile small size. All the miniatures of PGprox in DC version are available in PNP or NPN mode, 6-24 V DC, with standard load current up to 200 mA, with short circuit (except M5) and reverse polarity protections.
