Industrial Ethernet Switches, Highly Flexible

Theta Controls offers highly flexible industrial Ethernet switches from Hirschmann Automation and Controls, GmbH, Germany, the pioneers of industrial Ethernet. Called the “Open Rail”, one can select a switch to fit a given need. With this, the user can now get a custom switch at off-the-shelf prices and delivery. With Open Rail, the following optional can be selected: a) Gigabit ports – up to 2 available; b) Number of ports – from 2 to 24; c) Types of ports – any possible mix, from RJ45, Multimode fibre, Singlemode fibre, Long haul, AUI, etc.; d) Type of connectors – any possible like MTRJ, ST, SC, AUI, RJ45, M12, etc.; e) Temperature range – standard 0 to 60°, or extended -40 to 70°; f) Conformal coating – whether required or not; g) Approvals – from the basic cUL508, cUL1604 Class 1, Div 2 to the more stringent substation, marine, trains, etc.; and h) Software version – available in Unmanaged, Basic, Enhanced, and Professional.
