Generator Relay

The SEL-300G generator relay provides comprehensive primary and backup generator protection. In order to make technology available for the first time that complies with IEEE turbine protection standards, SEL has applied its expertise in the production of microprocessor-based relays to create the SEL-300G, a generator relay that includes several unique features designed for unsurpassed protection, monitoring, and control of electrical generators. SEL designed the SEL-300G to meet the needs of a variety of users, including utility and industrial power plants and generator set manufacturers. Connect the SEL-300G relay (with optional current differential elements) across large generators for complete primary and backup protection. Adding the neutral voltage connection provides 100 per cent stator ground protection for most machines, based on third-harmonic voltage measurements. Connecting the neutral current input provides protection for solidly grounded or resistance grounded machines.
