Earth Leakage Relay

OZR Electro Technics manufactures earth leakage relays. These are very useful for protection of electrical installations against fire hazards. The current flowing into the system is monitored by CBCT mounted on the cable/busbar. The tripping value can be set by a knob on the relay front. The relay trips if the leakage current in the system crosses the set value. An LED is provided for trip indication. One set of change-over contacts is provided to trip the switching device (MCCB/ACB) through shunt trip or U/V trip release. An additional set of contacts provided can be used for annunciation or signalling purpose. It is desirable to periodically check the function of relay. This can be done by a built-in test switch. Typical control supply voltages are 415 V AC or 240 V AC (other voltages on request). The relay is enclosed in an attractive ABS enclosure which adds to aesthetics value and conforms to IP 52. The standard sizes of CBCT available are 70 and 100 mm ID. Other sizes of CBCT can be offered after studying the individual applications. The dimensions of relay are 96 x 96 x 125 mm (H x W x D) with a panel cutout of 92 x 92 mm. This relay finds numerous applications in power control centres, distribution boards. welding equipment, flameproof control gears, petroleum and petrochemical complexes, underground mines and temporary supplies for construction sites.
