Earth Leakage Relay With CBCT from GIC

General Industrial Controls Pvt Ltd has introduced an Earth Leakage Relay (ELR) with CBCT. Earth leakage fault has consequences that not only can damage power systems but also are a threat to human life. This ELR series monitors, detects and protects power systems from earth leakage faults. In case of earth leakage faults, the ELR in conjunction with core-balance current transformers controls the circuit-breaker (MCCB/ACB/contactor) resulting in automatic isolation of the electrical system. The ELR offers 10 different sensitivity settings from 30 mA to 30 A, and 10 different time delay settings from instantaneous (0.04s) to 10s. Two outputs (1 C/O + 1 NO) are provided to configure the ELR for fail safe and non fail safe applications. Operational status is indicated by green and red LEDs which indicate relay status, CT open, earth leakage fault as well as the earth leakage current flowing which is insufficient to trip the device. Leakage currents of 30%, 45%, 60% and 75% of the trip setting are indicated. The cover can be sealed to prevent tampering with the setting but the test and reset functions can be operated without breaking the seal. The product comes with a recommended CBCT of inner diameter sizes of 38, 57 and 92 mm for accurate performance.
