Earth Leakage Relay

Selec Controls has introduced a compact, 3M DIN-rail mountable earth leakage relay, Model ELR600. The product can be used to detect leakage currents (RMS) selectable between 0.03 A, 0.1 A, 0.3 A, 0.5 A, 1 A, 3 A, 5 A, 10 A, 20 A and 30 A. The time delay is selectable from 0 seconds to 9 seconds (increasing each second). The LEDs on the unit indicate the instantaneous level of earth leakage ranging from 25% to 100%. The trip LED indicates when the preset leakage level has been exceeded, after the selected time delay. Whenever this occurs, the relay latches thereby preventing leakage current overload. Normal operation can be resumed either by using the reset function conveniently located on the front panel, by interrupting the power supply or by remote reset on the terminals. An additional safety feature is the detection of absence of proper connection to current transformer (CBCT).
