Capacitor Switch

System Control offers a Capacitor Switch, Type SYSVAC-CAP. Capacitor switches are suitable for mounting on a power systems network for improving the power factor. The capacitor switch is made up of special HT vacuum switching facility with self-latching arrangement housed in sheet metal enclosures. The current and voltage sensors like CT and PT are mounted inside the cubicle along with fuses. Advanced solid state PCBs are used for automatically sensing the change in voltage and current values and this information is used for automatically switching on and switching off of HT capacitor banks besides protecting the capacitor against tested at CPRI, Bangalore. Special features: compact and robust design; automatic time delay settings for switch on and switch off of HT capacitor banks; and comprehensive design enabling switch on and switch off of HT capacitor banks based on different values of voltage and current with necessary overriding conditions.
