Thick Film Metal Oxide Resistors

Cermet has developed thick film metal oxide resistors with indigenous technology first time in India having the ohmic values up to 200 gega ohms and voltage withstanding up to 25 kV. Scratch proof film ensures excellent stability of 2%. These resistors have very high surge withstanding up to 50 kV. Standard tolerances are 2%, 5% and 10%. Resistor element is coated with high insulating epoxy paints. Applications: (1) Particle accelerators, infrared image converters, ionisation chambers, and nuclear instruments; (2) Matched sets for voltage dividers and sticks for bleeder resistor chains; (3) Navigational radars and communication equipments; (4) Colour TVs and consumer electronics equipments; and (5) High voltage probes and HV power supplies. These resistors are also used for HT capacitor discharge application as film is scratch proof, which ensures high stability and no reaction with capacitor oil. These types of resistors are available in flat type configurations also.
