The RHC2512 is a two-watt thick film chip resistor which utilises special materials, design, and processing to achieve low heat rise compared to other high power chip resistors. The RHC2512 has a hot spot temperature of just under 12°C at 2 watts where most 2512 size chip resistors may reach that temperature at only 1 watt of applied power. This extremely low heat rise is outstanding for any power supply or power control application where board temperatures must be kept low.
