PF improvement capacitor panels

Capacitors and power factor improvement capacitor panels for LT application are manufactured using paper and polypropylene or only polypropylene as dielectric. These capacitors are impregnated with oil. The range extends from 10 to 25 kVar; thereafter the capacitors are banked together as per customer requirements. The PF improvement capacitor panels are designed and manufactured as per customer requirements using very sophisticated electronic digital or analogue relays which sense the actual power factor at any point of time and compare it with the required power factor, they automatically cut in and cut out the capacitors by sensing the error. A maximum of 16 stages per relay are possible. More sophisticated relays capable of sensing and providing alarm signals for dangerous levels of harmonics, resonance, temperatures and capacitance drop can also be provided.
