High Voltage Capacitors

Universal Cables Ltd offers Unistar range of High Voltage Capacitors. HT capacitor units are manufactured in the range of 50 kVAr to 1000 kVAr and in the voltage range of 1 kV to 22 kV. High voltage capacitor banks (3.3 kV to 132 kV/220 kV) are formed by series parallel combinations of these units and connected in various formations of star/double star and delta, depending upon customers’ requirement/applications and applicable protection schemes. The company has supplied hundreds of banks of ratings varying between 2-24 MVAr with similar capacitor units. Capacitors are type tested as per IEC/ISS (IS-13925) in CRPI (Govt of India), accredited by NABL. Universal Cables Ltd (UCL) was established in 1962 with modern plant for manufacture of paper-insulated cables. Since then, the company has made rapid progress achieving a world class reputation. In 1977, collaborating with Asea Kabels AB, Sweden (now ABB Cables), UCL brought XLPE technology to India. The company’s other collaborations are with internationally acclaimed leaders in their respective fields. UCL is a leader in the Indian Cable Industry with the widest product range. The cable division has a very wide range of product. It includes low voltage, medium voltage and extra high voltage XLPE power cables up to 500 kV grade, PVC and rubber insulated power cables up to 11 kV grade, control and instrumentation cables up to 1.1 kV for any number of cores/pairs and speciality rubber cables for trailing/flexible standards to suit to customer requirements.
