Venkat Switchgears, an ISO 9001-2008 certified company, offers a range of Vacuum Circuit Breakers. The 11/12 kV VCB is suitable to use in indoor and outdoor application for a panel/kiosk. It can be used for the switching on and off of transformers. It can be also used in RMUs (ring main units) for in/out operations. The circuit breakers have auxiliary contacts with 24 V/110 V/230 V control circuits AC/DC including anti pumping contactor.
The type tests conducted by the company at CPRI, Bangalore are as follows:

Lightning impulse and power frequency voltage withstand test (dry) as per IS 3427/1997 RA IEC 62271-200/2003 LI 75 kV (peak) and PF 28 kV

Temperature rise and milli volt drop test on 1250 A VCB as per IEC 62271-100-2003

Short-time and peaks withstand current tests as per IEC 62271-100:2001 25 .61 kA rms for 3.07 secs and peak 69.42 kA

Measurement of the resistance of the main circuit and mechanical endurance test for 1000 operations.
