Spark Testers
SEV Electrical Equipments offer Spark Testers. These are designed to test the insulation of wires/cables so as to maintain the quality of wires and cables at extrusion level. The testers are available in two models, 15 kV and 25 kV. The design of SEV spark tester meets the requirement as laid down in IS 10810 (Part 44) 1984.
- Input - 240 V 50 Hz, 1 phase AC
- Output - 0-15 kV AC 50 Hz (15 kV model) or 0-25 kV AC 50 Hz (25 kV model)
- HV transformer - oil cooled type housed in a fibreglass tank
- Electrode - ball chain type for 100% contact
- Sensitivity - as per clause A-2 (appendix A) of IS 18010 (part 44) 1984; interlock - HT chamber door interlock
- Fault indication - by lamp, audible alarm
- Fault counting - by six digit electromagnetic counter
- Enclosure - control unit - 19" rack system, HT chamber - in MS casing provided with MS stand
