Elcon switchgear range covers: on load changeover switches, fuse combination units, switch fuse units, fuse links and fuse boxes, moulded case circuit breakers. Changeover switches are widely used to switch over from electricity supply to stand-by supply, hence ensuring power continuity. Due to its application, reliability is the most important factor. Changeover switch has to operate when it is required most. A reliable changeover switch can save otherwise probable process losses. Elcon changeover switches meet this criterion perfectly and are proven over decades. Application areas: airports, hotels/ hospitals, steel and cement plants, industrial manufacturing units, major commercial complexes, telecom sector, chemical/pharma industry, etc. Elcon changeover switches incorporate simple, yet strong and quick make/break spring operated mechanism, which makes operation very easy for the operator. Features: wide range from 32 A-3150 A in 3P, TPN and 4P versions; compact and elegant; suitable for AC23A duty; high thermal capacity and reliability; fool proof; easy to operate design; minimum torque requirement; high short circuit fused current withstand capacity of the order of 80 kA; pad-lockable handle in 'Off position, can also offer the same in 'On' position on request; interlock defeat facility; available in open execution as well as in sheet steel (SS) enclosure; and 2NO and 2NC auxiliary contacts can be offered for 125A-3150A. Normal service conditions: -5°C to 45°C. Operating temperature range: no derating up to +55°C. A high mechanical and electrical endurance is assured through the use of simple and robust mechanism.
