Signal Isolators

Akshaya Instruments offers Signal Isolators. Different transducers and sensors provide signals in various forms, which may not be always compatible with the measuring equipment. Also the measuring signal is often corrupt with electrical noise, which can damage the measuring equipment. For this reason, isolators are widely used in automation industries. Signal isolators and converters provide the means of converting output of sensors to suitable logic, which can be fed to measuring equipment. Signal isolators provide 3-way galvanic isolation between input, output and auxiliary power supply (4-way galvanic isolation in dual channel). The isolation also helps to eliminate the ground loop there by improving the system reliability. Technology used in these isolators provides excellent linearity (<0.1%) and very fast response (<0.1ms), making it one of a kind in the industry. The company also manufactures interface converters, which provide isolation as well as interface conversion for serial interface. It has a range of products, which provides interface with RS-232 and RS-485 signals. Converter has user selectable setting of baud rate and 2-wire/4-wire selection for RS-485 signal. Interface converters provide isolation, conversion and/or re-distribution of serial signals. It also develops customised PLCs, which reduce cost of control unit and maintenance of machine. Features of isolators: 2 kV galvanic isolation between input, output and aux power supply; 22.5 mm (slim) DIN rail mount; frequency, voltage, current and resistance, thermistor, thermocouple input (range as per requirement); very fast response <0.1 ms; user settable 2-wire/4-wire configuration for input as well as output; voltage or current output (range as per requirement); as per requirement single channel or dual channel; and 24 V DC or 90-260 V AC for auxiliary power.
